2. Dolphins:
Dolphins, being marine mammals, have a unique sleeping behavior. They need to stay conscious while sleeping to ensure they continue to breathe. This behavior is referred to as ‘conscious breathing.’
3. African Elephants:
African elephants, the gentle giants, experience short episodes of deep sleep. They often lean against a tree for support during these brief periods. On the contrary, they are also capable of staying awake for weeks at a time. They can sleep while standing or lying down.
4. Bullfrog:
Bullfrogs have an interesting approach to rest. They don’t have a traditional sleep cycle and instead go into a form of binge sleeping known as brumation after consistently reacting to stimuli.
5. Sharks:
Sharks, as perpetual swimmers, have a distinct way of sleeping. They need to keep swimming to maintain a flow of water over their gills, allowing them to breathe. This constant movement means they do not have traditional sleep cycles.

Within a colony, worker ants take turns resting. Collectively, they accumulate about 250 minutes of sleep per day, showcasing a coordinated effort in their rest cycles.

These birds are known for their incredible migration journeys. During this period, they spend months in the air, catching brief periods of sleep while flying.
8. Horses:
Horses, on average, sleep for about three hours a day. Horses have a unique ability to sleep while standing but they need to lie down on their side to experience proper and more restful sleep.
